Corpus Christi Clearing FAQs

Land clearing in Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend typically costs $1,500-$5,000 per acre. Light brush: $1,500-$2,500/acre. Moderate mesquite: $2,000-$3,500/acre. Heavy brush country: $3,000-$5,000/acre. The main cost driver is mesquite density - it requires root grubbing for permanent removal.
The Coastal Bend is South Texas brush country. Mesquite is the dominant problem brush - it has deep roots and requires grubbing for permanent removal. Huisache (sweet acacia) is also common and aggressive. You'll also find prickly pear, retama, brasil, and granjeno throughout the region.
Yes. Ranch work is a major part of what we do in the Corpus Christi area. We clear brush to restore grazing capacity, create hunting senderos, improve wildlife habitat, and prepare land for development. We work on properties from a few acres to thousands of acres throughout the Coastal Bend.
We serve the entire Coastal Bend including Nueces County, San Patricio County, Kleberg County (Kingsville), Jim Wells County (Alice), Bee County (Beeville), Live Oak County, and surrounding areas. We travel throughout South Texas for larger projects.
Mesquite can be permanently removed through root grubbing. If you just cut or mulch mesquite, it resprouts from the root system. We use excavators or dozers to pull the entire root ball out of the ground, which kills the tree permanently. For large acreage, we can combine mulching with herbicide treatment as a more economical approach.
